The Secret to Search Engine Success

Everyone wants to be in the top 10 search engines results.  Everyone tries all kinds of tricks to get there.

There's only one sure way to do it.

If you want your site to be in the top 10 in search results for a particular topic, then your site should be one of the top 10 sites on the internet about that particular topic. If it isn't, then your site has no business being in the top 10. The top 10 search results, ideally, should be the top 10 best sites on the subject of whatever is being searched.

The secret to search engine success is just to create one of the most informative sites with the best content about a particular topic, and then the search engines will find you and rank you highly.

It's quite simple. To be ranked first for "four dimensional widgets", create the most comprehensive and informative site in the world about four dimensional widgets. It works every time.

Of course, this method is a lot more work than Search Engine Optimization tricks. It's easier to play with keywords, do cloaking, or other stuff instead of actually building a site that someone would want to read.

If you want your site to be found, make a site that people will want to find.

this advice is a bit like 'if you want the best selling product..create the best product'. Unfortunetly it doesnt work like that in the real world

the bottom line is marketing. There are a ton of crappy sites that reign the top 10 spots on google and its because of SEO marketing techniques. Having a top site in terms of content will NOT be ranked highly if you do not imploy some SEO intelligence
